San Bruno,
Calif.
– Tiger Woods on Friday
made his first public statement since a sex scandal compelled him to seek
treatment and take a leave of absence from the PGA Tour, and Google’s YouTube
was one of several outlets to offer a live video stream of the event. Speaking
from the headquarters of the U.S. PGA Tour in Florida, Woods was apologetic and said he
plans to return to the game — perhaps as early as this year.
