San Francisco – Over 100 organizations have petitioned
online classifieds site Craigslist to remove the Erotic Services section —
which last week it deleted from its U.S. site — from all of its sites
worldwide.

According to the letter, signed by groups including the FAIR Fund,
World Hope International, the Polaris Project, Craigslist still offers an
Erotic Services section in 250 cities worldwide.

To not also close these sites,
the groups argue, would constitute a "disingenuous and inconsistent
response" on Craigslist’s part.

The letter comes as a Congressional
hearing on Internet sex trafficking was held Wednesday, featuring testimony
from several representatives from Craigslist.
