Tokyo – Sony (NYSE: SNE) announced on Thursday that it is bringing
Qriocity, its proprietary video-on-demand service, to Japan later this month.
Qriocity, which offers titles from partners including NBC, Paramount, Sony
Pictures, Fox, and Warner Bros., launched in the U.S. in April 2010, and
expanded into several European countries in the fall. Both standard and HD
content will be available in Japan on Sony network-enabled Bravia TVs.
