San Francisco – Seesmic, a developer of applications that
monitor social networks across mobile devices, announced on Tuesday that it has
received a $4 million investment from Salesforce.com, and a Softbank
Group company.

San Francisco-based Seesmic helps companies monitor their brands
across Twitter, Facebook and other social networks.

The company has
collaborated with Salesforce.com over the past year to integrate the Seesmic
Desktop and Salesforce Chatter, that firm’s social collaboration app and
platform.

Seesmic has now raised a total of $16 million to date; other backers
include Atomico, Omidyar Network and Wellington Partners.
