Toronto – Syncapse, a developer of software and service
designed to help clients build and manage their presence on social media
networks, has raised $25 million in new funding, led by ABS Capital Partners.

The
first $20 million already has closed, making ABS the company’s first
institutional investor.

Toronto-based Syncapse said it will use the funds to bolster
sales, marketing and product development.

Syncapse’s tools are designed to help
clients, such as Research in Motion and Electronic Arts, bolster their social
media marketing efforts across channels like Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, YouTube,
WordPress and MovableType.
