Washington, DC – The Washington Post has launched a new section of its site devoted to its online games, considerably expanding the number of titles it now offers.

Joining the selection are more than two dozen online games, including Mahjongg, Jigsaw, Spellbound and Solitaire, powered by casual game development studio Arkadium.

The new games, all available for free, are in addition to the paper’s existing crossword and Sudoku puzzles.

“For some readers, crosswords and other puzzles have long been an important part of their interaction with The Washington Post,” said Emilio Garcia-Ruiz, The Post’s editor for strategic projects and digital development. “As games remain a popular feature, we look forward to expanding our variety and engaging even more users.”
