Apply now for Europe4Startups' $100,000 grant package

Startups are being invited to apply for a program that provides just about every service they’re likely to need for an entire year, as part of the Europe4Startups project.

Twelve digital media companies will be chosen to launch their European offices in Luxembourg, where the non-profit Europe4Startups is based. They each will receive a service package valued at USD $100,000 that includes premium cloud computing services along with a suite of business, legal and marketing services provided by initiative partners like HP and Ernst & Young.

Two of the available grant packages are earmarked for digital games companies selected from the Digital Media Wire community.

Applications must be submitted by January 4 at the latest. The lucky dozen will be announced at the Games Summit at the 2013 International CES on January 10 in Las Vegas. (For more information about that, send an email to  europe@digitalmediawire.com.)

Luxembourg is centrally located in the middle of a 500-million consumer market, part of why Vodafone, Skype, Amazon.com, eBay, iTunes, Netflix, Sony, Zynga, Kabam, Innova and Nexon are among the companies that have based their European offices there. Luxembourg also is a founding member of the 27-country European Union, an important factor when it comes to ease of travel and transporting goods or materials.

Recipients of a Europe4Startups grant are under no obligation to continue using the provided services after the initial 12 months.
