Linden Lab, the developer of virtual world Second Life, said it has acquired the iPad game Blocksworld. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The company said it will offer the game globally and release it for new platforms, with Blocksworld’s developers joining the company. Blocksworld is an iPad game in which players use cubes, wedges, rockets, wheels and motors to create 3D models of things such as race cars, animals and robots. The models feature realistic physics simulation, allowing users to play and interact with them. “It’s a very user-friendly complement to our portfolio of shared creative spaces,” said CEO Rod Humble.
