DataGravity, a privately held developer of technology for extracting information from data, has raised $30 million in its second round of venture capital. The deal was led by Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital firm, and included participation from DataGravity’s existing investors, Charles River Ventures and General Catalyst Partners. DataGravity is developing technology that can help IT managers and administrators at small and medium-sized organizations extract value and information from stored data, without the need for complex software systems, according to the company.
