TechCrunch: musiXmatch Raises $3.7 Million in Funding


TechCrunch reports that musiXmatch has secured $3.7 Million in funding that has brought the total raised by the UK/Italian Company to $8.1M since its establishment back in 2010. The Song lyrics database and accompanying mobile and desktop apps provider, has reached the 10 million user mark and also adds 1 million downloads every month. musiXmatch claims to be number two app on Spotify with over 1.5M hours of streamed music. Max Ciociola, CEO and Founder of musiXmatch said, ““We want musiXmatch to be like MTV was in the past for music on TV. We’re working on pushing musiXmatch directly on TV.
