WSJ: Farmville Coming To Television


The Wall Street Journal reports that Brett Ratner, Director of the Rush Hour franchise, is set to produce a half-hour animated television show based on Zynga’s popular social game Farmville. Ratner will work with Canadian Television product company Six Eleven Media, and serve as an executive producer on the show, together with Kirk Schenck, Charles Bishop and Nina Gelb. Farmville and Farmville 2 encourage players to come up with their own complex, interactive farms, and attracts millions of players a day. Ratner said, “FARMVILLE is one of the most exciting brands out there today and its cross-platform opportunities are endless. I am thrilled to be expanding the brand with existing fans and also engaging a whole new audience.”  Read more
