The Verge: AT&T to Provide Mobile Video Chat App by End of Year

The Verge reports that AT&T intends to provide video chatting for all customers on its network by the end of this year. In the past, AT&T prevented iOS users from making FaceTime calls over its network. Last year, it changed its policy allowing customers without unlimited plans to access it. Since then, AT&T has decided that even people on unlimited plans will soon get access video chat from their LTE phones.

AT&T said, “Throughout the second half of this year, we plan to enable pre-loaded video chat apps over cellular for all our customers, regardless of data plan or device; that work is expected to be complete by year end.”  Read more
