Report: San Francisco's Lithium Technologies to Acquire Klout

Lithium Technologies, the San Francisco-based developer of software that lets businesses create their own social networks and online communities, appears to be on the verge of acquiring San Francisco-based Klout in a deal expected to be worth more than $100 million, re/code reported. The blog reported that the deal has been signed, but has yet to close.

The blog reported that the deal has been signed, but has yet to close. Klout’s technology is designed to assess users’ influence on social media, scoring it on a scale of 1-100. The company has raised $40 million in funding, including a $30 million round two years ago from investors including Kleiner Perkins, Venrock and Institutional Venture Partners. Read more
