Washington
– Nearly a year behind other national newspapers in releasing a mobile
application, The Washington Post launched its first comprehensive iPhone app on
Wednesday, which will cost $1.99 per year. Other major newspapers, including
The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and USA Today, do not charge for their
iPhone apps; CNN and The Guardian do charge. The Post had previously launched a
"Going Out Guide" for DC, but not a comprehensive application for the
entire newspaper.
