Los Angeles
– Bobby Chang, the CEO of free file-hosting service RapidShare, has resigned
from the company, TorrentFreak reported. The service has recently drawn legal
actions due to its hosting of copyrighted content; the site counts hundreds of
millions of monthly visitors. "We will continue RapidShare’s success
story, faster and more consistently. We believe we can better achieve this goal
with different leadership — for the benefit of our customers, partners and
users," wrote RapidShare founder Christian Schmid, who will become interim
CEO.
