Paris
– MXP4, a provider of digital music marketing and distribution services,
announced on Thursday that it has raised $4 million in a new round of
financing, led by Orkos Capital.

Previous investors Sofinnova Partners and
Ventech also participated in the round, proceeds from which will be used to roll out MXP4’s
technology.

Paris-based MXP4 says more than 100 artists have used MXP4-powered
Web and iPhone interactive music applications for viral distribution and
purchases, including Britney Spears and David Guetta, along with brands such as
Air France Music and Coca-Cola.

The applications offer interactive features
that, for instance, let users create their own remixes of songs, or sing along
to karaoke tracks.
