Los Angeles
– Cocodot, an online invitation and greetings service, has raised $2 million in
new financing, VentureBeat reported, citing a regulatory filing.

Investors
included Anthem Venture Partners and Rincon Venture Partners.

Los Angeles-based
Cocodot was founded by Shawn Gold, previously chief marketing officer at
MySpace.

Unlike competitors like Evite, Cocodot charges a yearly subscription
or per-use fee to use its services, which let users customize their ad-free
invites or greetings.

The company previously raised nearly $1 million in
funding.
