Palo Alto, Calif. – Disney (NYSE: DIS) has acquired iPhone mobile game
developer Tapulous, creators of the "Tap Tap Revenge" music game,
TechCrunch reported.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded
in early 2008, Palo Alto, Calif.-based Tapulous had to date raised $1.8 million
in financing, from investors including Marc Benioff, Jeff Clavier, Andy
Bechtolsheim and Rajeev Motwani.

Tapulous’ flagship game Tap Tap Revenge now
counts millions of downloads, and special branded versions featuring artists
including Lady Gaga, Nine Inch Nails and Justin Bieber.

Its other titles
include the mobile music game "Riddim Ribbon."
