Tokyo – Apple (NASD: AAPL) will offer Japanese customers who purchased an
iPod nano that experienced an issue with overheating a replacement device,
Reuters reported. Some 60 incidents of first-generation iPod nanos overheating
were reported in Japan. The company had previously said it would only replace
defective batteries thought to be the cause of the issue, but now says it will
replace the devices outright.
