Tokyo – Japan’s Toshiba said on Tuesday that it is
developing glasses-free 3D television technology, but declined to say whether
the devices would go on sale yet this year, the Associated Press reported. AP
notes that existing glasses-free displays require viewers to be in a specific
physical location in relation to the display in order to see the 3D image,
adding that "the image quality is much lower than that of screens using
glasses."
