San Francisco – Foodspotting, a site that lets users share photos of their
meals, has raised $750,000 in seed funding, TechCrunch reported.

Felicis
Ventures led the investment; 500 Startups, High Line Venture Partners, Zelkova
Ventures, 2020 Ventures and a number of individual angel investors also
participated.

Launched in January, San Francisco-based Foodspotting has so far
attracted some 100,000 photos from users, and its new iPhone application has
been downloaded 120,000 times.

The company tells TechCrunch it plans to
eventually expand beyond food, and has acquired Sightspotting.com and
Goodspotting.com for complementary services.
