Los Angeles – Sony Computer Entertainment has released a
mandatory software update for its PlayStation 3 game console, in response to a
new breed of USB-based hacking devices, Ars Technica reported. "Hi
everyone! A minor update to your PS3 system is now available via system
software update v3.42 that includes additional security features," Sony’s
director of hardware marketing wrote in a post on the company’s blog.
