Cary, N.C. – MaxPoint Interactive, a developer of online ad
targeting technology, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $3 million in its
first round of funding, from Trinity Ventures.

Cary, N.C.-based MaxPoint has
developed technology that it says provides neighborhood-level targeting for
advertisers.

The service combines multiple data sets on consumers — including point-of-sale
data from 65,000 retail stores nationwide, demographics, psychographics and
other publicly available data sources that don’t contain personally
identifiable information.
