New York – Apple (NASD: AAPL) continues to talk with the major record
labels about launching a subscription-based music service, to complement its
iTunes music download store, the New York Post reports, citing sources.

The
service could feature tiered pricing, ranging from $10 to $15 per month.

The
sources said details such as the amount of music allotted for each tier, and
how long consumers would enjoy access to the music, remain unclear.

Rumors of
an Apple music subscription service have been around since at least 2008.
