Toronto – Intel has acquired digital signage provider
CongoVision for around $17 million, according to a report on DailyDooh.com.

Toronto-based CongoVision develops digital ad displays that can monitor how
consumers interact with them, gauging how many users look and for what length
of time, and anonymously track gender and ages of passersby.

TechCrunch notes
that the two companies had previously partnered to explore processors in
digital signage.
