New York – The New York Times (NYSE:  NYT) is preparing to launch a
number of paid subscription offerings for its online content as early as next
month, The Wall Street Journal reported. One bundle that includes full online
access as well as an iPad application will reportedly be priced at around $20
per month, while Web-only access to all of NYTimes.com would cost "less
than half that," although The Journal’s source notes pricing "could
even change after rollout."

Print subscribers are expected to receive full
online access at no additional cost.

Users not interested or willing to pay for
a subscription will reportedly be able to access a certain number of articles
online for free per month, after which time they would be prompted to purchase
a subscription.
