Seattle – Lockerz, the provider of a social commerce
network, has acquired photo-sharing application Plixi (formerly TweetPhoto),
for between $10 million and $15 million, TechCrunch reported.

Founded in 2009,
San Diego-based Plixi serves more than 1 billion photos monthly.

The company has
raised $2.6 million in funding to date, from backers including Qualcomm, Canaan
Partners, Anthem Venture Partners and Eastman Kodak.

Seattle-based Lockerz counts 18 million members for its service, which rewards
users with loyalty points and discounts for sharing commerce-related content
via social media.

Plixi will be rebranded as Lockerz Photos.
