San Mateo, Calif. – BookRenter, an online textbook rental
service, announced on Wednesday that it has closed a $40 million, third round
of financing.

Investors included Adams Capital Management, Comerica Bank, Focus
Ventures, Lighthouse Capital Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and Storm
Ventures.

Founded in 2008, San Mateo, Calif.-based BookRenter is partnered with
over 560 college bookstores, figuring as the online textbook rental service for
some six million students.

The company said it is seeing 600% year-over-year
growth, and will use the new funding for additional product development.
