San Francisco – Flixster, the movie reviews and showtimes
service that includes Rotten Tomatoes, is in early acquisition talks with a
group of suitors that includes Yahoo (NASD: YHOO), All Things D reported, citing sources
close to the situation.

The purchase price is thought to be between $60 million
and $90 million.

Aside from Yahoo, several "media giants" —
including perhaps Disney — are reportedly interested in Flixster.

Founded in
2006, San Francisco-based Flixster offers a mix of user-generated and
professional movie reviews, as well as news, showtimes and other features.

The
company’s shareholders include News Corp., which traded its Rotten Tomatoes
service for a 20% stake in parent company Flixster.
