Washington – Cable giant Comcast said it has launched its
fastest residential Internet service, called Extreme 105, in several major
markets across the U.S., including D.C. The 105 Mbps service, which also offers
up to 10 Mbps upload speeds, is available for new or existing customers at an
introductory rate of $105 a month for 12 months as part of the triple play
bundle, or on a standalone basis. The service promises to download
standard-definition movies in 2 minutes and music albums in 3 seconds.
