New York – Sirius XM Radio (NASD: SIRI) said it ended its first quarter
with a record 20.6 million subscribers, having added 373,064 new subscribers
during the period. The company hopes to add 1.4 million new subscribers in 2011,
and intends to increase subscription prices for consumers — provided the FCC
does not extend a rate hike freeze instituted when Sirius merged with XM in
2008, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
