Paris – French streaming music service Deezer has limited free access to its service for its 20 million users to five hours per month, the local La Tribute reported.

The company said its redesigned service is also faster, and offers tighter Facebook integration. Deezer’s service offers tracks from all of the major record labels except for Universal Music.

Rival Spotify also recently limited the terms of its free music streaming, to 10 hours per month and no more than five plays of any song.

Deezer launched a subscription version of its service in November 2009, and to date has signed up 1.2 million subscribers.
