Boston – Smarterer, a provider of online tests that measure “digital, social and technical” skills, has raised $1.5 million in a financing round that included participation from True Ventures, Google Ventures and a group of several angel investors. Founded by Dave Balter, who previously founded and headed BzzAgent, Smarterer has developed a proprietary system and algorithm that can benchmark anyone’s skill in just 10 questions and 60 seconds. It is intended as a hiring decision-making tool for employers.
