Platinum Studios Inc., the transmedia production company and studio, has joined forces with VirtualPitchFest.com, an online service screenwriters use to pitch feature screenplays directly to decision-makers.

Platinum Studios’ two most recent feature films are Dylan Dog: Dead of Night and Cowboys & Aliens. The company controls an international library of comic book characters which it adapts, produces and licenses for all forms of media including print, film, online, mobile, gaming and merchandising.

VirtualPitchFest.com, run by producer David Kohner Zuckerman, has led to successful projects including Hallmark’s Christmas Magic and the feature Raspberry Magic. It now has over 325 companies taking pitches online, each of which has committed to sending responses to all query letters submitted by VirtualPitchFest.com members.

These associated companies include Lionsgate, MGM, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, The Gersh Agency, Alcon Entertainment, Benderspink, Davis Entertainment, Paradigm, The Donners’ Company, Mandate Pictures, New Regency & APA. Platinum Studios intends to work closely with these fellow partner entertainment companies to maximize the opportunities for collaboration.

Platinum Studios chairman and CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg said, “VirtualPitchFest is the most efficient way we can think of to find, evaluate and build relationships with unknown writers and give them the opportunities they seek.” The company has experience with this approach, having originated the concept of the Comic Book Challenge in 2006 as a means to directly connect artists and writers to entertainment professionals who can further their careers.

VirtualPitchFest president David Kohner Zuckerman said, “With heavy-hitting companies like Platinum Studios onboard, we can offer our writer clients the best chance of success in the entertainment industry.”
