Bethesda, Md. – Verve Wireless, a San Diego-based developer of mobile advertising technology, on Tuesday named Chris Nicotra, the former chief information officer and chief technology officer of Reston-based comScore, as its executive vice president of product and technology, a newly created role.

Nicrotra, who will work out of the company’s offices in Bethesda, Md., will be responsible for leading the next generation of Verve’s ad technology platform.

He previously spent nearly two years at comScore after serving as the chief information officer of AOL Advertising and chief technology officer of Baltimore-based Advertising.com.

More than 3,000 publishers use Verve’s platform to manage their mobile advertising businesses.
