Vectra Networks, the developer of a platform designed to detect cyber attacks in progress, said on Tuesday it has raised $25 million in its third round of funding, led by Accel Partners. Previous backers Khosla Ventures, IA Ventures and AME Cloud Ventures participated in the round, which also included new investors Intel Capital and Juniper Networks. The company will use the proceeds to accelerate research and development, as well as sales and marketing activities. Vectra’s X-series platform continuously monitors an organization’s network, providing intuitive and prioritized reporting to allow for prompt response. The platform detects attacks for all devices, operating systems and applications. Eric Wolford, a partner at Accel, has joined the company’s board of directors. Read more.
