The Hollywood Reporter reports: “Competitive eSports has made it to North American TV with a 24/7 channel in Canada aimed at video game fans. U.K.-based Ginx eSports TV has inked a deal with Canadian premium pay TV network Super Channel to launch a linear TV and on-demand channel by this summer. The new eSports channel will feature live multiplayer video gaming events, news and gaming lifestyle programming. Pan-European pay TV giant Sky and the U.K.’s ITV last year joined forces with Ginx TV to launch Ginx eSports TV. The TV channel showcases major eSports tournaments from across the globe, including Turner’s ELeague events, as well as independent programming.”
