Hypebot reports: “While Warner Bros.’ ‘Blade Runner 2049’ topped the box office this weekend, the expensive science fiction movie failed to meet projections for its opening weekend. The sequel to the 1982 sci-fi cult classic brought in an estimated $31.5 million during its opening in North America, far short of the $43M-$47M domestic debut that the studio was hoping for. 20th Century Fox’s ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ continued to chug along, adding $8.1M in North America and $33.6M worldwide.”
