Tel Aviv, Israel – Jinni, the developer of a video discovery
engine, announced on Thursday that it has closed a $5 million second round of funding,
led by Belgacom and an undisclosed "tier-1 consumer electronics
manufacturer."
Previous backers DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures also
participated.
Israel-based Jinni offers a "taste-and-mood based"
video guide for integration with electronic TV guides.
Belgacom, a Belgian
telecom operator, is using Jinni’s guide to help customers discover video
across multiple screens.
