San Francisco – Conference Hound, the San Francisco-based
developer of a searchable conference platform featuring more than 45,000
curated conferences, trade shows and conventions, said on Thursday it has
landed seed funding from various angels and other investors.
Financial terms
were not disclosed.
"We know from our research that conference attendees
base their choices on many factors beyond industry and topic including who’s
speaking, who’s attending, location, weather, local activities and
attractions," said founder and CEO Bruce Carlisle.
"Our goal is to be
the definitive go-to brand for the conference world globally."
Carlisle is
the former CEO and co-founder of digital marketing agency SF Interactive, and
CTO Jay Hung previously held technical roles with Yahoo, Scripps Networks and
social startup Mixture.
