Boston – BuyWithMe, a group buying and social commerce business that was founded in 2009 in Boston, announced on Wednesday it has acquired Groop Swoop, a group buying and social commerce company focused on the San Francisco marketplace.
The deal follows BuyWithMe’s recent acquisition of DealADayOnline in Chicago.
The company currently offers daily deals in 13 of the largest U.S. cities.
By the end of the year, BuyWithMe, which now has its headquarters in New York, is expecting to double its regional footprint. The company has raised about $21 million in venture capital.
