CBS is offering fans a new web-only program, Anatomy of a TV Hit: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which puts the incredibly popular series under the microscope of a behind-the-scenes documentary.
It includes interviews with the likes of executive producers Anthony Zuiker and Jerry Bruckheimer, CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves, and CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler, along with several past and present cast members including William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger.
The first two of the nine episodes cover how show was pitched to CBS and how the pilot was shot. The remaining episodes speak with key people involved in different aspects of the Feb. 22 episode Stealing Home: casting; special and visual effects; the story; prepping the episode and pre-production meeting; makeup and special effects makeup; production; and post-production and audio mixing.
Viewers will also be able to join in live chats with crew members through a CBS.com integration with Facebook vote, and can vote in a bracket-style game to name their favorite episodes from the series’ 12 seasons.
