New York – Gordon McLeod, the president of News Corp.’s (NYSE: NWS) Wall
Street Journal Digital network, announced his resignation in an internal memo
today, PaidContent reported.
"A lot has changed in the digital world since
I joined you four years ago. While
I’m extremely proud of the growth in our digital business over that time, I’m
now looking forward to exploring new opportunities," McLeod writes in the
memo.
Also departing the company will be Ann Sarnoff, who has served as
president of DJ Ventures since 2006.
PaidContent notes that both were heads of
two of the five new business units created within Dow Jones earlier this year.
