Chicago – Sprout Social, the provider of a social media
management platform for businesses, has raised $1 million in new financing from
Lightbank, TechCruch reported.
Founded in 2009, Chicago-based Sprout Social
launched its platform in August.
Its offering helps companies manage relationships
with customers on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Yelp.
The
company now counts some 2,000 clients for its services.
