Los Gatos,
Calif. – Netflix (NASD: NFLX) announced on
Friday that it has signed new distribution agreements with News Corp.’s (NYSE: NWS) Twentieth
Century Fox and Universal Studios, the terms of which will see Netflix receive
now wait to receive new DVD releases until 28 days after they become available
at retail. In exchange for the favorable terms on new releases, both studios
will provide a greater number of titles to Netflix for instant streaming to
subscribers.
