San Jose,
Calif.
– Adobe Systems (NASD: ADBE) has
released its Flash Player 10.1 for mobile to developers, which the company
called "the first release that brings the full Web across desktops and
devices."

The mobile Flash player will be available to consumers with the
forthcoming availability of Android 2.2 "Froyo."

That upgrade to
Google’s operating system will support devices including the Dell Streak,
Google Nexus One, HTC Evo, HTC Desire, HTC Incredible, Droid by Motorola,
Motorola Milestone, Samsung Galaxy S and others.

Adobe said it also expects
Flash 10.1 to be available for BlackBerry, webOS, future versions of Windows
Phone, LiMo, MeeGo and Symbian OS.

Notably absent is Apple’s (NASD: AAPL) iPhone, as Apple
CEO Steve Jobs recently announced that the company would ban Flash from its line of
mobile devices.
