Munich – Glam Media, a publishing and online ad network,
said on Thursday that its Glam Media Germany unit has acquired Fantastic Zero,
a German online media firm targeting men, from Holtzbrinck Digital and
Publigroupe.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Since its
launch in 2007, Fantastic Zero has amassed an audience of 5.4 million unique
users, with more than 50 sites targeting lifestyle, sports, entertainment,
games and autos.
Glam Germany, which was launched in 2008, reaches 8.7 million
monthly users.
Overall, Glam Media says it reaches 97.9 million unique monthly
users in the U.S., and 167 million globally.
