Bellevue, Wash. – DataSphere Technologies, the operator of a
network of hyperlocal neighborhood news websites and a complementary ad network,
announced on Thursday that it has closed a $10 million third round of funding,
led by OVP Venture Partners.

Previous backers Ignition Partners and Fisher
Communications also participated in the round, proceeds from which will go
towards accelerating build-out of community websites, and further product development.

Bellevue, Wash.-based DataSphere counts over 750 neighborhood sites, and counts
Gannett, Raycom, LocalTV, Fisher Communications and Hubbard Broadcasting among
media partners.

The company says its network reached over 12 million unique
visitors in August.
