New York – TuneCore, a service that helps artists post their
music for sale at iTunes and other retailers, on Tuesday posted details for its
musician clients on how they can set up Artist accounts on Apple’s (NASD: AAPL) new Ping
music social network within iTunes. TuneCore will handle authentication, making
sure legitimate parties claim the page, after which Apple emails a unique link
to the artist, who may then log in with an existing iTunes account or create a
new iTunes account for the Ping Artist profile.
