Toronto – Netflix (NASD: NFLX) will launch its online video streaming
service in Canada tomorrow, but will not bring its flagship mail-order DVD
business to the country. The Hollywood Reporter notes that local cable TV
providers Rogers and Quebecor Media have in recent months been bolstering their
own video-on-demand services and discounting data plans in anticipation of
Netflix’s arrival.
